Control enclosures containing dual controllers are equipped with eight core 1.9 GHz Intel Xeon processors of 32 GB or 64 GB cache, respectively.
Each controller includes a hardware compression accelerator based on Intel QuickAssist technology using a usable assistant accelerator.
Various host interface options include 16 Gbps and 8 Gbps fiber channels, 1 Gbps iSCSI, 10 Gbps iSCSI or FCoE (Fiber Channel over Ethernet).
These new powerful platforms provides the processing capacity up to twice as much as previous systems.
Each control enclosure makes expansion with up to 504 drives or supports up to 20 installed expansion enclosures using high-performance 12 Gbps SASs whose capacity is about 2 PB.
